Important Update: Rail&Fly - W2 distribution agreement termination

"Dear partners,

We would like to inform you of an important change regarding the distribution of Deutsche Bahn Rail&Fly, Interline and Codeshare products via WorldTicket (W2).

With immediate effect, Deutsche Bahn has terminated its cooperation with WorldTicket for the distribution of intermodal products through GDS channels.

As a result:

  • New bookings with W2 flight numbers are no longer possible.
  • Existing bookings containing a W2 segment with a travel date from 15 October 2026 onwards will be cancelled.
  • This applies to Rail&Fly, Interline and Codeshare bookings, including travel dates in 2027.
  • Rail tickets that have already been checked in via rail-checkin.com will also be cancelled and become invalid.

To support affected passengers, Deutsche Bahn plans to offer an alternative solution from 12 October 2026, allowing customers to purchase a Rail&Fly ticket directly via rail-checkin.com. This option will be available to passengers holding a valid flight ticket that includes a rail segment.

Deutsche Bahn is currently evaluating alternative GDS solutions and will provide further updates as soon as additional information becomes available.
